Black Screen/does Nothing/Vista DVD Crashes


My laptop has that handy wi-fi disconnect switch that makes that easy to do...I simply turn it to OFF, close my desktop widgets, then reboot.As it turned out, one of my Set it only stop CPU activity (leaving video card powered up) to hopefully avoid problem in future. F2 was working ( set up menu ). What can I check that may keep it from blacking out OH!!! It's acting like it's booting into Hybernation mode. The problem is: WINDOWS VISTA NEVER COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN.
