Norton Causing Blue Screen

If its needed please let me know. I'm not sure what the error code was, just that I get the blue screen whenever I try to run a scan. You can use it to scan your computer and figure out what happens to your computer and then it will provide you with a workable solution accordingly. In the end it was my RAM. Hope it will stay out of way.. The hardware abstraction layer and the BCC indicates that there is some problem with your memory devices or its related to it.

Apart from Norton my PC works perfectly with everything else so I seriously don't think I'm going to change my recently bought 16Gb RAM just so I can run Norton... I'd rather just get a different antivirus. And on my Samsung ssd I was looking at the program it came with and enabled the maximum reliability option under OS optimization. After swapping the RAM out for a different brand of memory or new set the problem went away.

I have Windows 7 64 bit and Norton Internet Security. If the problem was hardware related, would the can still work as it did when I ran Windows in safe mode? You will need to match and filter the logs based on date on which it occured last.
