A simple way to see if it's the problem is by doing a thorough inspection of the entire cable. Battery Is Not Charging Macbook Pro 2015 I noticed there was a flash in both cases at the point of connecteing the charger to the power source. Foreign objects interfering in the physical connection between the charger and the computer is one of the more common reasons that MagSafe adapters seemingly won't pass a charge.

This may sound silly or unlikely, but it happens more often than you'd think.

However, I do sometimes have to disconnect the MagSafe end from the converter and flip it over.
