Sometimes the adapter (the box in the cord) is faulty, or despite your best efforts you can't repair a loose plug. We have a chance to protect local repair jobs—the corner mom-and-pop repair shops that keep getting squeezed out by manufacturers. They sent out a box for me to send it to them but it's the wrong kind of box. Always plug the charger into a decent surge protector, never straight into the wall.
